Modern Villa with Scandinavian design

Description

A revolutionary housing concept by New Netherland Architects. It meets all modern requirements needed for energy-neutral and optimal living. BARENTSZ Discovery Houses are houses of and for the future!

In the middle of the old Kruitbos, adjacent to the Grote Wiel which was once created by a dike breach, 2 very special wooden Villas are under construction. With living areas of 242 and 272 m2 on lots of less than 1487 and 1887 m2! Within walking distance of the shore of the IJmeer and surrounded by greenery we find Erf 8.1 and Erf 8.2. Two, almost cubist, houses, which are realized in the ambitious project "De Krijgsman" in Muiden. Both brown yet very different colors. Different but they belong together in their own way.
Each villa is designed in harmony with the landscape and with only one goal: to realize the highest attainable living quality. This is achieved with well-insulated prefabricated wood frame elements containing 3-fold glass. Together with the exposed wooden beams and spacious window areas, this ensures a pleasant indoor climate.

Building with wood is hip. We say that not only because Barentsz Discovery Houses have wood-frame construction as their basis, but also because of their sustainability. We love wood and with a Barentsz house we prove that wood construction can also be modern, with a quirky contemporary look. Our wooden houses are energy-neutral, which is not only good news for the environment, but also directly for your wallet. With "zero" on the meter, it is very nice and comfortable living and as little energy is wasted as possible. When designing a Barentsz house, we make constant contact with the outside by choosing, for example, light through large windows and sliding doors. By using wood, a Barentsz Discovery House blends into its natural surroundings and creates a sense of connection with nature. Wood lives and breathes, but wood also embraces. And, it meets all modern and sustainable requirements for now and for the future.

NOISE AND ACOUSTICS: Due to the very good insulation of the facades and triple glazing, you hear almost no noise from outside. Furthermore, inside you have no reverberation due to the natural materials and wooden joists.
